How it All Started
Lasting Impressions Event Rental was started in 1991 and was soon purchased by Karl Liesinger. A few years later, JP Fritz was brought in as a financial advisor and eventually became a partner. The growing business soon required a larger warehouse, moving to a 12,000 square foot building in downtown Columbus. The space was doubled in 1998 to accommodate the purchase of the rental assets of KG Marx after which, Fritz purchased Liesinger’s interest becoming the sole shareholder.
In 2000, the company purchased a 40,000 square foot building near Bexley, allowing for radical growth in inventory and services, and introducing the need for a showroom and extended sales staff.
During 11 years at this location, the company began to launder their own linen and moved into larger tenting.
Then, In 2006 the assets of ACME Events in Cleveland, Ohio were acquired, opening a Cleveland branch of operations which moved into a 50,000 square foot warehouse in Bedford Heights. A year later, the thriving business purchased the rental assets of AAA Rentals, an early innovator in the party rental industry. With these two events, Lasting Impressions became the largest event rental company in Ohio.
The Columbus Operation found the need for yet more space in 2010, purchasing a large complex of nearly 100,000 square feet in North Columbus and combining three warehouses into one.

In 2019, a third location of Lasting Impressions came into existence with the purchase of The Alleen Company, which was founded in 1951. At that time, all three locations became part of the Lasting Impressions Event Group. In 2020, the Cincinnati Operations moved to its own 45,000 square foot building. Also in 2020, Lasting Impressions purchased the assets of T’rrific Linen, a linen specialty company in Columbus. In 2023, the Cleveland Operations moved into their own 42,000 square foot building in Brooklyn Heights. 2024 was a year that Lasting Impressions Event Renal continued to build its brand by becoming the exclusive provider of Modern Event Furniture in Ohio and renaming The Alleen Company to Lasting Impressions Event Rental.
